Daily Wisdom: Have No Regrets, Hold No GrudgesThe past can be
a frightening place for some, depending upon which events in their life they tend to dwell upon. We often
blame our current situation because of problems that may have occurred in our past. But without everything
that has happened, you would not be ready to face what you face today. Thank God for all the troubles of
your past for they are responsible for positioning you for your present and future success. When one gets
lost in the past, they forget how to live today. If something so horrible happened to you so long ago that
it upset you so much that you wish you could build a time machine and travel back to that episode in time and change it, then
that would be quite motivating. Let’s say you dedicated your life to building a time machine for
such a purpose. One day when you succeeded and completed building the time machine, the world would be
in awe of your accomplishment. They would ask you to what or who do you have to thank for this grand achievement.
Of course, you would have to tell them, “My past troubles and enemies I guess. Without them
it would not have been possible.” So take a lesson from how small children live their lives.
They are much better at playing and laughing without any fear of what has happened in the past, but simply lost in
the present moment of today.

Dream WorldPractically everything we see is a dream. Everything you come in contact
with was dreamed up by somebody before it became a material reality. It existed inside of their mind before you
saw it out in the world. A cell phone, a pen, a sheet of paper, the space shuttle all were dreamed up before they actually
came to be. Even people, plants and animals were dreamed up before they materialized (depending upon your spiritual
views). So you could say that we all live in a dream world already. It is a combination of the dreams
of every conscious individiual. So what is there to stop us from achieving anything? Well, in this case we are
our own worst enemy. It is our emotional reactions to these interactive play of dreams that can cause fear and
uncertainty that the dreams and actions of others will prevent our dreams from coming true. If we could
only have faith in ourselves and learn to wield the power of dreams, then our fears of failure could be quenched. Instead
of being an enemy to yourself, be your own best friend and just believe in yourself. How can we inspire our children,
without inspiring ourselves first?

Welcome World
As I hold another new life in my arms, it forces me to think of the possibilities and the opportunities that lay ahead in
her life. She is nothing but pure potential at 8lbs. 15oz., 21 1/4 inches long and 100 billion neurons
strong. Her soul glows unaffected by the negativity of the news or the cynicism of the adult world.
What dreams she will have! But which will come true? It makes me wonder about
my own dreams. As a physical therapist, a husband and a father of a four year old boy and a newborn girl,
when do I have time to dream my life? But when I look into her eyes, I realize that I am dreaming my life.
Still I would like to dream more, be more for myself and for others. My son has already chosen his
career for the rest of his life. He wants to be “Everything. Everything except
a pirate, because they lose body parts.” I think he does have the potential to be anything if not
everything. I think we all have the opportunity to be more and dream more than we already are.
That is one of the purposes of the launch of this blog and this website. I hope to bring a few flashes
of inspiration to both parents and young children to dream their lives to places normal people wouldn’t.
I think one of the first steps in such a journey is to realize what you have already accomplished. You
are already so much more than you realize. Look at all the people and the things that surround you.
You made all of that possible. You were once just a helpless little child, but here you are.
Be thankful for what you have and where you’re at. Because where you are going is anywhere
you want to. If you did it (made a dream or a goal come true) before, then you can do it again.
Being a parent is a huge responsibility, financially, emotionally, many times physically, and spiritually.
You are an if not the inspiration in your child’s lives. Set an example
and teach your children to dream. Soon you will realize, if you don’t already, that
it is they who will be teaching you the art of dreaming. I have a son who wants to be everything and a
girl who could be anything. They look to me be to be everything at times. I’ll
try my best, as long as I don’t have to be a pirate.
Please explore this website in its infant stages and return for my weekly
messages for you and my weekly stories for your children. Thank you.
