Daily Wisdom: Discover Your Unique Perspective Since the birth of my daughter, my son has made a few
unique observations about life. Two of my favorite comments of his have been, "Ears are like little baby monitors
on your head" and "My sister thinks everyone is a toilet." Everyone, child and adult, has their own unique
observations about how things work in this life. What are yours? Discover the beauty that fills your own unique
path.

Daily Wisdom: Long Term Success Requires Long Term Vision Be willing to accept short term losses in exchange for
long term gains. Obstacles to success can either be taken as a sign to stop your current quest or they may be signs
that the reward at the end of this trail is even better than you originally thought. When was the last time you received
a huge amount of satisfaction from completing something that was easy? One step, even two steps backwards is hardly
a sacrifice for eventually completing the marathon of a task before you. Bumpy roads do lead to happiness. Let
your obstacles be a source of inspiration to the end result that lies ahead. No one ever planted their flag on a mountain
top by walking everyday on flat ground.

Daily Wisdom: Boycott Cable News Today some practical advice instead of dream speak.
Whether liberal or conservative in your views, I reccomend that you boycott cable news, at least for a couple of weeks.
Just to see how you feel or how your perspective changes. In fact, don't be afraid to take a vacation from the news
in general. There's enough people talking around you to where you will be filled in on the major headlines anyway.
Today's news, or should I say subjective opinion journalism market, which offers no thought provoking intelligent dialogue
or information, is only fueled by our human hunger for strife, conflict, and the reinforcement of our own ego driven ideologies.
Even the shows that just show news instead of talking heads, simply repeat and repeat the same tired news stories all day
long of the death and destruction of the world around us. Despite everything that is wrong in the world, the are more
things that are right. There are billions more good people doing good things in this world then there are bad people.
Why give 100% of the spotlight to the bad. Don't let "the experts" control your view of reality.
You have a unique perspective on the world that no one else does, discover it while you unplug from the news for a while.
Your blood pressure may decrease, you may breathe easier, your stress level will decline, and you may even discover a hidden
spirit of optimism and faith in the world. You have enough things to worry about in your own little world anyway.
Your assignment of inspiration today: Boycott The News!

Daily Wisdom: Believe in Yourself Would you rather go through life fearing failure and
thus not attempting anything worthwhile? Is it better to play it safe and not take any risks because you are afraid
of what others will say? Odds are that the risk is worth the reward. Don't go through life regretting things
that you never did or never tried. As Lucille Ball once said, "I’d rather regret the things I’ve done,
than regret the things I haven’t done." If you fail in your efforts, the worst thing that can happen is that
you are back where you started. However, if you, when you succeed you will have achieved more than what you originally
sought after. You will have gained the confidence to continue to reach for previously thought unreachable dreams and
goals. The great English poet Alfred Lord Tennyson pointed out that, "Tis better to have loved and lost, then to
never have loved at all." So believe in yourself and your ability to make that image in your head a reality.

Daily Wisdom: Little Dreams The little dreams can be just as important as the
really big dreams. It those little victories that happen everyday, if you're observant enough to notice them happening,
that can boost your confidence and belief in the possibility of the big dreams coming true. Little miracles happen everyday.
Just think of all the little things you get done everyday without even putting forth much effort. Just think of all
the big things you could accomplish if you did focus your thoughts and efforts. As the great painter, Vincent Van Gogh once said, "Great things are done by a series of small things
brought together." Today, just take time to notice all the little dreams coming true instead of stressing about
the big ones that have yet to come true.

Daily Wisdom: Choose Your Adventure If you haven't heard of Zac Sunderland, just google
his name. Just a month ago, at the age of 17, he became the youngest person to sail alone around the world. He
left California when he was 16 and completed his journey 13 months later. He faced near death experiences along the
way, not to mention having to be completely self reliant. I am sure a little faith in himself and of events out of himself
helped a little too. If his story is not an inspiration, I'm not sure what qualifies. This proves you're
never too young to accomplish something specatcular. Life is one big adventure and it is never too late, or too early,
to choose one and get started. If a 17 year old can sail around the world on his own, what can I do? Find
something that makes you happy, something you are passionate about, set your goals high, and just go for it.

Daily Wisdom: The Beginning My son recently wanted a piece of french bread.
He asked me, "Can I have the beginning of the bread?" I said, You mean you want one of the end pieces?"
"No. The beginning pieces," he clarified for me. I suddenly realized that he was right. There
really are no "ends" in reality. The end of one thing is always the beginning of something else. There is
no end to life. There is no end to the world. There are only transitions, new possibilities, and new beginnings
that awaits us every moment of every day. Here lies another path to inspiration and happiness: See the beginning in everything.

Daily Wisdom: Every Ordinary Day Everyday is an opportunity to start something new. Everyday
and every moment is filled with unlimited potential for anything to happen. Everyday is never just an another ordinary
day, but a day filled with opportunities to be extraordinary. Everyday realize that today is the only day that
matters in the timeline of your goals and dreams. Yesterday is over, tomorrow has yet to happen, but what I do today
can change the course of history. If you seem to mess up along the way, no worries. Tomorrow will again be one
of those seemingly ordinary days filled with moments to be extraordinary.

Daily Wisdom: Surrender When in pursuit of dreams and goals, sometimes we
work too much, worry too much, and search for too much inspiration. An attitude of surrender is often needed before
dreams manifest. This is not exactly the same as giving up. To surrender is more an act of faith that things will
work out. Many times when you are trying too hard to accomplish something, the attitude behind your efforts is still
one of worrying that you won't succeed. Stop worrying and just let things happen. Eventually, they will.
Like the couple who got pregnant two years after giving up on all the fertility treatments. Like finding that house
you really wanted five years ago, suddenly up for sale again. Like waking up and realizing that child, or that car,
or that shiny thing in your hand that you prayed and prayed for years and years ago has been in your life and in your hand
for months and months before you suddenly realized that "Yes, didn't I ask for this to happen?" It did
happen before, and it will happen again if you have faith and just surrender to the process of letting it all happen.

Daily Wisdom: Your Quantum World According to quantum physics, light can be observed as
a particle or as a wave. It all depends upon how you choose to observe it. The observation determines the reality
that you witness. This is true of our lives as well. Our reality is dependent upon our observation of it.
We are all participants in how our reality unfolds. We are not just bystanders. Our conscious observations determine
what kind of world we find ourselves in. It all depends upon how you look at it. So why not look for the positive
and expect positive observations happening instead of fearing the negative. What you spend the most time looking for
is what you will find and observe. As it is written, "seek and ye shall find" (Matthew 7:7). Whatever
you are seeking, eventually you will find. Positive thoughts will lead you to positive finds and negative
thoughts will lead you to negative finds. "For everyone that seeks, finds" (Matthew 7:8).

Daily Wisdom: A Little Can Be A Lot When pursuing a dream or a goal, we often defeat ourselves
when thinking about the total magnitude of what must be accomplished to reach the end of the journey. However, doing
just a little bit everyday towards your goal can go a long way. There are many cliches to this effect. "Rome
wasn't built in a day" or "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." But the fact
that just doing a little can go a long way is undeniable. Consistency is the key to achieving anything. Whether
it's losing a tenth of a pound a day, writing one page a day, or running an extra 100 feet a day, eventually you
will have lost a hundred pounds, written a book, or ran a marathon. It may take a little time, but what were you doing
with that time anyway? Don't waste those little moments. If you do a little something everyday, one day you'll
realize that you can do anything.

Daily Wisdom: Just Keep Swimming! As I enter week three of sleepless, baby crying nights
I am reminded of a quote from Dory. Dory was the blue, forgetful fish in Disney's Finding Nemo. She
told Nemo's dad, Marlin, to "just keep swimming." He needed some encouragement, but she just said,
"just keep swimming." Sometimes this can be the best advice. When you are exhausted and goals and dreams
seem far off in the distance, all you can do is to just keep moving forward. Don't think of how or when things will
work out. Just know that they will as you just keep breathing as you put one foot in front of the other as you "just
keep swimming" along to whatever waits for you. Nemo and Marlin found each other at the end of the movie.
I'm sure you will find your way too. I know my baby will sleep through the night some day. It's just a
matter of when. In the meantime, I'll just keep feeding and holding and loving her.

Daily Wisdom: Be Thankful, NOW! How can I expect to appreciate my future gains, if I
can't appreciate what I already have? When we place our focus on what we don't have or what we don't want,
then we just keep noticing more things we don't have and more events that we don't want to happen. When
we notice and are thankful for the multitude of things we do have, then we keep noticing things that we do have to be thankful
for. When we focus on the blessed events that happen to us everyday we keep noticing good things happening to us.
One simple shift in mindset from worrying about what we don't have to being thankful for the things we do have can make
all the difference in how happy our day is going to go. Just notice things to be thankful for and you will notice
you will keep getting things to be thankful for. Sounds easy. I should be doing this more often. THANK YOU!

Daily Wisdom: The Wisdom of Youth Never consider age the best barometer of wisdom.
Just because you may be 20, 30, or 40 years older than your child, doesn't mean that they don't have as much
wisdom for you as you do for them. On one recent endeavor my son told me to "Stop doubting yourself. You
are putting doubts in your head." I never told him these exact words in my lessons to him. Where does he get this
stuff? "I can't do it," I told him. "I just can't do it." "You're doubting
yourself again, dad. You can do it. Just try," the 42 inch high pillar of wisdom kept telling me. So
you know what. I tried, and I did it. I really was able to do it. He was right. Now of course, the
feat in question was the task of sliding with both feet first on my back down the Slip 'N Slide in the backyard.
(I don't reccomend this for anyone with a bad back.) Still, it was something that I thought I would not be able
to achieve if not for the motivation of my wise little boy. There may be better examples of the words of children inspiring
you in your life. The point is to notice them and to take heed. Have a Good Everyday!

Daily Wisdom: How to Manifest Your Dreams: Child Version 1.0 Watching the Food Network inspired
my son this weekend. He set all his energy towards manifesting himself a churro. He just knew that his
mouth would be chomping one soon. He had no doubt. A churro is a tasty Spanish/Mexican treat coated with sugar
and cinnamon. It is almost like a big donut stick. The snack gets its name from the Churro breed of sheep found in
Spain for you history buffs. Anyway, my son immediately fell in love. He went to bed with images of churros dancing
in his head. He woke up wanting churros for breakfast. He asked his father and mother all day, "Are we going
to go get a churro now?" Even his crying baby sister and his misadventure of clogging the toilet and flooding the
bathroom did not deter him from his goal. "Churro?" he cried as I washed the toilet water and feces off of
his body. Needless to say, shortly thereafter, we did find some churros at the local Latino grocery strore. Dream
achieved! This is just a small daily example of what a little patience, persistance, and faith can accomplish.
Not to mention a churro craving dad as well.
